Steve spent more than two decades inside the industry's largest full-service brokerages — starting at Cushman & Wakefield, later a Senior Vice President at CBRE — Full-service brokerage runs on landlord revenue: listings, leasing assignments, property management. Steve spent those years representing tenants inside that model, and saw how the structure shapes outcomes in ways most tenants never see.

Maris Advisors was founded on a simple correction: represent tenants only, ever. No landlord listings, no leasing assignments, no divided loyalty.

Steve is also the inventor of the TrekDesk Treadmill Desk, a national workplace-health innovation featured on CNN, NBC, and NPR, named an office innovation by Forbes and a Top Product of the Year by Scientific American, with research partnerships spanning ASU, UCLA, LSU, and the American College of Sports Medicine. A proven entrepreneur, he built and scaled two internet-based companies to seven-figure exits, personally engineering both the back-end operations and their web presences.

Closer to home, he founded the Phoenix Lacrosse Club and has served with Valley Big Brothers — the same commitment behind Maris Advisors' practice of negotiating its own commission down by 30% and putting that value into the client's deal.
